HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An hours-long search for a missing surfer off East Oahu ended Friday night with good news.
HFD confirmed the 24-year-old man was found safe at home shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Firefighters began scouring waters off Sandy Beach Park and Hanauma Bay when the man’s girlfriend reported him missing around 7:15 p.m.
HPD also responded to the scene.
